Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Mechanical Estimator in New York to develop and coordinate the project estimate with the team, and to support the creation of the Project Basis of Estimate and risk analyses. The role requires 5+ years of estimating experience in construction and proficiency with Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX.

Strong communication and accuracy are essential, with a focus on building client relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in construction.
• Experience with Sage Timberline, InEight or CostX.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent construction qualification.

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team.
• Help develop the total project estimate.
• Prepare the Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, making cost contingency recommendations to the project team.
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization, project objectives and guidelines.
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have grown your experience as an Estimator over 5 years with increasing levels of scope and responsibility in a construction environment
• Have demonstrated experience using estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline
• Are RICS, CEP or CPE chartered or are on the path to complete it. We can help!
