Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Mechanical Estimator in the United States. The candidate will develop and coordinate estimates with project teams, assist in forming the total project estimate, and prepare Basis of Estimate and risk analyses.

Strong communication and relationship skills are essential. Requirements include 5+ years in estimating within construction, proficiency with Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX, and a construction-related degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in estimates.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team
• Help the development of the total project estimate
• Help prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, making cost contingency recommendations to the project team
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization, project objectives and guidelines
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have grown your experience as an Estimator over 5 years with increasing levels of scope and responsibility in a construction environment
• Have demonstrated experience using estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline
• Are RICS, CEP or CPE chartered or are on the path to complete it. We can help!
