Job summary

Linesight in Austin, TX seeks a Mechanical Estimator to join a collaborative team responsible for shaping project cost management. You will develop estimates, coordinate with the project team, and contribute to baseline cost plans.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of estimator experience in construction, proficiency with Sage Timberline, InEight or CostX, and excellent communication skills. Interviews are conducted in person or virtually with video required.

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team
• Assist in developing the total project estimate
• Prepare the Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis with contingency recommendations
• Analyze problems and propose cost-effective solutions aligned with objectives
• Maintain a library of current local rates for estimates

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team
• Help the development of the total project estimate
• Help prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, making cost contingency recommendations to the project team
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization, project objectives and guidelines
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have grown your experience as an Estimator over 5 years with increasing levels of scope and responsibility in a construction environment
• Have demonstrated experience using estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline
• Are RICS, CEP or CPE chartered or are on the path to complete it. We can help!
