Job summary

Raytheon’s Test Solutions Engineering Center in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Section Leader to guide a Mechanical Engineering team through design, verification, and manufacturing acceptance of complex systems. Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of 10 years of prior relevant professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
• Experience in a “Customer" oriented environment.
• Experience in a leadership role.
• Experience presenting to leadership and peers.
• Active DoD issued Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 10–20 mechanical engineers and set meaningful, measurable goals.
• Oversee design through lifecycle to production, verification, qualification and manufacturing acceptance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams for testing and troubleshooting of systems.
• Conduct formal and informal performance reviews and career development discussions.
• Contribute to hiring and onboarding of section personnel.
