Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer – Mechanical Design to lead design, development, and documentation of components and major end items in line with system requirements.

You will mentor mechanical engineering teams, coordinate with analysts and program leadership, and apply GD&T, DFMA, and trusted Raytheon processes across development phases. U.S. citizenship and interim DoD Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 8+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience leading mechanical product development across lifecycle.
• Experience interpreting documentation and contributing to production environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and major end items.
• Lead and mentor mechanical engineering teams to meet schedules, budget, and technical goals.
