Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced STEM degree with 8+ years of experience; advanced degree OK.
• Technical leadership across the mechanical product lifecycle, including requirements, trade studies, design, and test.
• Experience creating, releasing, and updating mechanical data packages in production environments.
• CREO CAD proficiency and GD&T knowledge essential.
• Willingness to travel to government and supplier facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design, development, and documentation of components, sub‑assemblies, and major end items to meet system requirements.
• Lead and mentor mechanical engineering teams while meeting schedule, cost, and technical objectives.
• Collaborate with analysts, materials, quality, safety, supply chain, operations, and program leadership to refine designs.
• Support factories and suppliers with development, integration, troubleshooting, and obsolescence management, domestically and internationally.
• Conduct trade studies, participate in design peer reviews, and resolve technical action items.
