Job summary

Vantage Data Centers seeks a Mechanical Engineering Lead to guide SMEs and set engineering direction for North America. You will influence standards, push innovation, and ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets. Remote-friendly with travel and high impact across hyperscale data centers.

Requires PE license or US eligibility, 15+ years in mechanical design/construction, and strong CAD/BIM/CFD skills. Data center experience is essential; cross-disciplinary collaboration is core.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, PE preferred or eligible.
• Data center design/construct experience highly desirable.
• Strong CAD, BIM and CFD modeling proficiency.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and leadership.
• Deep knowledge of codes, standards and project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Set mechanical engineering direction and standards for NA projects.
• Lead SMEs, mentor engineers and align with leadership on goals.
• Guide design through concept to commissioning and operation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Represent mechanical discipline in CoE; support client discussions.
• Manage budgets, schedules and performance across projects.
