Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineering leader for a remote-based role across the US. The position drives critical mechanical design, standardization, and supplier collaboration for hyperscale data center initiatives.

You will mentor SMEs, influence project budgets and schedules, and ensure that technical decisions align with North American construction and operation practices. Strong communication and CFD/BIM tool proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; US PE preferred.
• 10+ years in mechanical design and construction, data center experience required.
• Strong leadership of technical design teams across multiple trades.
• Experience with design, construction, commissioning and operations for North American projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in CAD/BIM tools and CFD modeling; familiarity with building codes/audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead pivotal mechanical engineering decisions and set design standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align vision and priorities.
• Mentor SMEs and drive team development and growth.
• Manage budgets, schedules and stakeholder communications for projects.
• Act as primary contact for cross-functional technical matters.
• Guide content development for training and onboarding of team.
