Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lead to guide a team of SMEs across North America. You will influence engineering standards, drive innovation, and align mechanical strategy with business goals.

This role emphasizes mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and high-impact decision-making in hyperscale data center projects. The position is remote within the United States and may require travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• US-based P.E. registration preferred.
• 10–15+ years in mechanical design and construction.
• Data center/mission-critical experience required.
• Proven leadership of technical design teams across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic mechanical engineering decisions and set standards.
• Mentor SMEs and guide cross-functional teams on projects.
• Collaborate with executives to align engineering vision with goals.
• Represent mechanical engineering in Centers of Excellence and cross-functional forums.
• Oversee budgets, schedules and performance of engineering initiatives.
