Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support project teams on power plant and industrial facility systems. You will work under senior engineers to apply classroom knowledge to real-world design, calculations, drawings, and specifications.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accredited engineering program, with strong thermodynamics/fluids coursework and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong academic background with coursework in mechanical systems analysis (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer).
• Proficiency with MS Office applications; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and modification of power plant and industrial facility systems.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Track and evaluate project activities and progress.
