Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join a project team and support senior engineers on powerplant or industrial facility systems. You will help prepare calculations, drawings and specifications, and contribute to project reporting and data tracking. The role emphasizes applying academic knowledge to real engineering problems under guidance.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a B.S. or M.S.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with a focus on thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and/or heat transfer.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing engineering calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Support project reporting, tracking progress and data for ongoing projects.
• Assist on design/modification work for powerplant or industrial facility systems.
