Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join a project team and assist the engineering staff in executing project work related to powerplant and industrial facility systems. You will work under senior engineers and expand your knowledge in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer while preparing calculations, drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with strong academic background in mechanical systems analysis (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer).
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering team members on project work and prepare calculations, drawings and specifications.
