Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks mechanical engineering co-ops to support reliability and project initiatives at our Tomahawk mill in Wisconsin. Roles may lead to mechanical reliability engineering or mechanical project engineering co-ops depending on mill needs.

Includes hands-on work with AutoCAD, CMMS (Trident), data analysis, and cross-functional teamwork to improve safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness. Eligible students with a 3.0+ GPA and US residency preferred.

Qualifications

• GPA minimum of 3.0/4.0 required.
• Must be a permanent U.S. resident with a valid driver's license.
• Mechanical Engineering or related field; freshman year completed or to be completed at time of co-op.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical reliability assignments to improve mill safety, efficiency, equipment performance, and cost effectiveness.
• Assist with capital projects from funding request through completion, including planning, estimating, engineering design exposure, contractor field oversight, and project coordination.
• Use AutoCAD, MS Office, process information systems, and PCA's CMMS program, Trident, to complete engineering and reliability work.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, operations and outside resources to support mill operations.
