Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a Mechanical Reliability/Project Engineering Co‑op. The role supports safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness via maintenance and project tasks across PCA mill sites.

Candidates must be mechanical engineering majors, with at least 3.0/4.0 GPA, U.S. residency, and freshman year completed or in progress. Strong teamwork and computer tool skills are required.

Qualifications

• A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 is required.
• Must be a permanent U.S. resident with a valid driver's license.
• Majoring in Mechanical Engineering or related field; freshman year completed or to be completed.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical reliability assignments to improve mill safety and efficiency.
• Apply preventive maintenance techniques and analyze root causes.
• Collect and analyze mill data to support optimization and decision-making.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
• Assist with capital projects from planning to completion.
