Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks mechanical engineering co-ops for mill roles. Positions may be mechanical reliability or mechanical project engineering based on mill needs.

Responsibilities span safety, efficiency, and equipment performance across maintenance and operations. Qualified students have a 3.0/4.0 GPA, are permanent US residents with a valid driver’s license, and major in Mechanical Engineering or related fields; freshman year completed or completing.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0/4.0 required and must be a permanent US resident with a valid driver's license.
• Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Freshman year completed or will be completed at time of co-op/intern.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical reliability assignments to improve mill safety, efficiency, and equipment performance.
• Apply maintenance techniques to improve reliability and reduce costs.
• Collect, analyze, and use mill data to support process optimization and decisions.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, operations and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Assist with capital projects from funding through completion, including planning and oversight.
