SharkNinja is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op in Needham, MA. You’ll work closely with a world-class team to bring home innovations from concept through testing and launch, solving real consumer challenges with bold, practical engineering solutions.

As part of a fast-paced program, you’ll gain hands-on experience across the full product lifecycle, including CAD modeling, prototyping, testing, and documentation, in a company backed by a global brand.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a related bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program or graduated within the past year.
• Able to commit to a full-time 40-hour workweek onsite in Needham, MA.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering/physics fundamentals (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mechanical design).
• Solid analytical skills and attention to detail with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical teammates.

Responsibilities

• Support concepting and development of next-gen products with brainstorming, sketching, and prototyping.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Build, test, and iterate prototypes and lab rigs; validate performance and usability.
• Analyze testing data and user feedback to inform design decisions.
• Participate in design reviews and root-cause analysis for engineering challenges.
• Own engineering tasks with increasing complexity and participate in materials/manufacturing considerations.
• Assist with CAD modeling and technical documentation.
• Understand user journey to drive innovative product solutions.
• Learn from failures and iterate quickly in a startup-like environment.
