Job summary

SharkNinja is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineering Co-op in Needham, MA. You will engage in the full mechanical product lifecycle, from system architecture to prototyping and testing, contributing to high‑performance consumer products.

You will collaborate across disciplines, develop robust designs, and gain hands-on experience with rapid prototyping methods, with a focus on reliability and manufacturability. This is a full-time, five‑day onsite program supporting early career growth.

Qualifications

• Current student in a related bachelor’s or master’s program or recently graduated within the past year.
• Full-time, 40 hours per week, onsite in Needham, MA.
• Strong foundation in mechanical engineering and physics fundamentals (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mechanical design).
• Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks and/or Creo for component and system design.
• Hands-on experience building and modifying prototypes in plastic and metal using basic machine shop tools.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of mechanical system concepts and architectures.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to develop integrated solutions.
• Build, test, and iterate mechanical prototypes and lab rigs to evaluate performance.
