Job summary

SharkNinja is seeking a Product Design Engineering Co-op in Needham, MA to join a cross-functional team from concept through market launch. You’ll sketch, CAD, prototype, test, and iterate with plastics/metals, while aligning with industrial design, electrical engineering, marketing, and manufacturing partners.

Ideal candidates are current students or recent grads in a related field, with hands-on prototyping experience, CAD fluency (SolidWorks/Creo/Rhino), and a passion for user-centered

Qualifications

• Education: Current student in a related bachelor's or master's or PhD program, or recently graduated
• Must work full-time, 40 hours/week onsite in Needham, MA
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or Rhino)
• Experience using basic prototyping tools (3D printing, shop competency)
• Strong communicator who can convey ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
• Hands-on mechanical design and understanding of physics fundamentals
• Ability to manage multiple projects with evolving requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine product concepts with a user-centered approach
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate concepts into functional solutions
• Lead design studies and investigations to resolve mechanical and usability challenges
• Build, test, and iterate quick-turn prototypes and inform design decisions
• Drive innovation and product excellence through curiosity and rigorous engineering
