SharkNinja is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op to join our team in Needham, MA. You will work alongside engineers to bring home innovations from concept through testing and launch, participating in the full product lifecycle.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, rapid iteration, and cross-functional collaboration in a startup-like environment backed by a global brand. As a student or recent graduate, you will gain experience with CAD, prototyping, electronics, and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Current student in a related bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program, or recent graduate.
• Hands-on development experience with plastic and metal prototypes across labs or shops.
• Familiarity with CAD tools, 3D printing, laser cutting and basic lab equipment.
• Interest in bringing consumer home products to life with robust engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to concepting and development of next-gen products by brainstorming, sketching, and prototyping bold ideas.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and product managers to explore solutions to real-world consumer challenges.
• Build, test, and iterate prototypes and lab rigs while validating performance, usability, and reliability.
• Analyze data from testing and consumer feedback to inform design decisions and improve product functionality.
• Participate in technical deep-dives and design reviews to troubleshoot issues and propose practical solutions.
• Take ownership of engineering tasks with increasing complexity, including materials, mechanisms, and manufacturing considerations.
• Support design feasibility analyses, CAD modeling, and technical documentation with experienced engineers.
• Understand the user journey and drive innovations that delight users.
