Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT is seeking a Mechanical Engineer or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join the Sentinel (GBSD) program. The role supports hardware design with a multidisciplinary team and requires a Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.

The position is located in Roy, UT, with a standard 9/80 schedule and potential relocation assistance. Primary salary ranges are provided and vary by level and experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related experience; or a master’s with 1 year (principal level requires more).
• US Citizen with active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain.
• Experience CAD modeling with Siemens NX or similar.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Join a multi-disciplinary team to design mechanical hardware and assemblies.
• Apply ASME standards to identify, design, and procure hardware.
• Support design reviews and create artifacts using NX and PLM tools.
• Capture inputs from Systems, Software, Design, and Hardware engineering teams.
