Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Roy, UT team supporting the Sentinel program. You will help design hardware systems, manage CAD models, and produce design artifacts using NX and PLM tooling. A US Security Clearance (Secret) is required, with the ability to obtain SAP approval as needed.

The role involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary engineers and contributing to critical design reviews while adhering to ASME standards and program schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 2 years of related experience; or Master’s with 1 year (Principal level: 5 years with bachelor’s or 3 with master’s).
• US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance, current and within scope.
• Ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and engineering scheduling tools.
• CAD modeling experience with Siemens NX or similar.
• Experience resolving issues and providing technical support.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of Mechanical, Electrical and Hardware Integration engineers to design hardware systems and components.
• Apply ASME standard processes and procedures to identify, design, and procure hardware.
• Support design of integrated assemblies to support Sentinel critical design reviews.
• Assist in trade studies and create 3D models and product definition packages using NX and PLM tooling.
