Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors seeks a Mechanical Engineer to perform complete mechanical designs under supervision. You will develop layouts, estimates, and construction-ready calculations, collaborating with drafting and discipline teams to ensure timely delivery.

This role requires 3+ years of relevant experience and a solid grasp of piping standards. Ideal candidates hold a mechanical engineering degree (BS/MS) with PE registration preferred, and excel at communicating across teams while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• PE registration is highly preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in industry.
• Knowledge of piping design standards and codes.
• Ability to size piping systems and select supports accurately.
• Experience with stress analysis and material procurement specs.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete mechanical designs under general supervision.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient solutions.
• Produce preliminary designs and material take-offs for estimates.
• Check and prepare design calculations and drawings for construction.
• Review vendor and other discipline drawings for mechanical input.
• Provide field support, site startup assistance, and data gathering.
• Collaborate with design leaders to ensure timely project delivery.
