Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a lead designer with extensive mechanical and piping design experience to supervise a team of designers. You will oversee delivery of mechanical and piping deliverables on schedule and within budget, mentoring staff and coordinating with multi-discipline teams.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of relevant experience, an associate degree in engineering technology or CAD, and is proficient in 2D AutoCAD and MicroStation. SPED certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD required.
• 12+ years of relevant industrial mechanical/piping drafting and design experience.
• SPED Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of designers to deliver mechanical and piping deliverables on time and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to staff.
• Produce installation specifications and P&ID/GA drawings.
• Coordinate work with other staff and discipline leads.
• Estimate construction quantities and costs.
