Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to perform complete designs of complex mechanical systems. The role requires extensive experience and involves piping design, stress analysis, and construction specifications under general supervision.

Responsibilities include developing conceptual layouts, material take-offs, and inter-discipline coordination with design leaders. Field data collection, startup support, and vendor drawing reviews are also expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 6+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of piping systems, HVAC, and design codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress analysis and develop concept layouts and cost studies.
• Produce detail designs and material take-offs for construction.
• Review vendor drawings and discipline interfaces to ensure coordination.
• Provide field support, startup assistance, and drafting guidance to the team.
• Lead small teams and develop scopes, drawings and specs for procurements.
