Job summary
Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a mechanical engineer to formulate design solutions and perform FEA analyses, interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines to support safe movement of Naval nuclear fuel. The role includes collaboration on an international exchange program with the United Kingdom and a pathway to develop advanced mechanical design expertise.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Master's degree in a related technical field with 1+ years of relevant experience
- Currently an Intermediate Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company
Responsibilities
- Formulate design solutions to complex mechanical problems
- May complete finite element analyses (FEA) as needed
- Conduct analytical assessments of reactor servicing equipment
- Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to support safe movement and transportation of Naval nuclear fuel
