Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks an experienced Nuclear Engineer to perform plant analysis supporting the next submarine design. The role involves developing protective features to improve operability, cost, and thermal margins, and creating reactor plant models for early design studies.

Applicants should have strong communication and writing skills and a background in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid flow; nuclear coursework is preferred but not required as training is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or science field with 6+ years of relevant experience; or
• Master's degree with 4+ years; or
• Doctorate with 1+ year; or
• Senior Reactor Training Engineer/Refueling Engineer at the Company.”
