Woolpert is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead Mission Critical Data Center HVAC projects, oversee scope and schedule, mentor staff, and deliver code-compliant engineering results.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license and 3+ years in building HVAC design, with proficiency in Revit, CFD modeling, and strong communication. This role offers growth within a global engineering team, diverse projects, and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or MA/MS in related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Experience with building HVAC design for commercial, mixed-use, healthcare, aviation, hospitality, or high-rise.
• Experience in sustainable building systems and LEED/GBI credentials.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Verbal and written communication abilities for internal and external relations.
• Experience with discipline-related software applications and calculation tools.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit for 3D modeling and construction documents coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents.

Responsabilités

• Design and support Mission Critical HVAC and mechanical systems for data centers, including air- and liquid-cooled systems.
• Utilize CFD tools to model airflow and thermal performance across designs.
• Perform cooling load calculations and equipment sizing for high-density IT environments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate HVAC alternatives and redundancy strategies.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews to ensure code-compliant, high-quality deliverables.
• Develop and modify models, plans, and drawings per standards and modeling techniques.
• Present design concepts and solutions in reviews and coordination meetings.
• Motivate and mentor team members; conduct training sessions when needed.
