Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop launch equipment hardware for the Sentinel program. You will craft CAD models, perform analyses, and collaborate with customers and engineers to deliver high-performance mechanical solutions.

The role requires a STEM degree, 2+ years of related experience (5+ years for Principal), and the ability to obtain SAP approval. On-site work with a 9/80 schedule and relocation options are possible.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related experience; master’s with 1 year; principal level 5 years with bachelor’s or 3 years with master’s.
• Must be a US Citizen with active Secret clearance; SAP approval capability.
• Experience with CAD modeling and manufacturing processes; knowledge of GD&T and materials selection.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a mechanical designer for mechanisms on a major Defense Systems program.
• Research, design, and develop mechanical/aerospace products for aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, and launch equipment.
• Develop CAD models and 3D drawings using Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Verify specs via modeling, simulation, and test data; analyze performance.
• Support all lifecycle phases from design through maintenance.
• Prepare reports, drawings, and interface with customers.
