Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, UT, seeks a Mechanical Engineer/Principal Mechanical Engineer to support the Sentinel GBSD program on the Launch Systems Infrastructure team. Work within an IPT, interfacing with leadership, suppliers, and customers to develop Product Definition Packages (PDP) and ensure on-time delivery.

On-site work with potential 9/80 schedule and relocation assistance. The role requires a STEM degree with CAD experience, GD&T knowledge, and MBSE/PDP exposure; U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2+ years of related experience; or a master’s with 1+ year (principal level: 5+ years with bachelor’s or 3+ with master).
• U.S. Citizen with active Secret clearance; SAP access eligibility.
• Minimum 2 years’ CAD modeling experience; experience with structural design/fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement deployable mechanical mechanisms verified by tests/analysis.
• Develop CAD models visualizing design solutions.
• Deliver PDPs on time to meet program objectives.
• Support all lifecycle phases: design, drawings, fabrication, test, install, operate and maintain.
• Identify design gaps and provide cost-effective resolutions.
