Northrop Grumman is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Principal Mechanical Engineer for the Sentinel GBSD program in Roy, UT. The role focuses on developing mechanical mechanisms, CAD modeling, and delivering PDPs within an IPT environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing teams, ensuring design integrity, and meeting program objectives with on-site support as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Requires a STEM bachelor’s degree with 2 years related experience; or a master’s with 1 year (principal level requires 5 years with a bachelor; or 3 years with a master)
• U.S. Citizen with active Secret clearance at time of application, within scope
• Ability to obtain SAP approval within a reasonable period
• Experience with design/fabrication techniques for structural details, assemblies, and/or installations
• Experience using PLM or PDM tools
• Experience with 3-D modeling

Aufgaben

• Create and implement deployable mechanical mechanisms that are verified through test/analysis
• Develop CAD models visualizing design solutions
• Deliver PDPs on time to meet program objectives
• Develop Infrastructure Integration PDPs with element teams to prevent disconnects and clashes
• Identify design or requirements gaps and provide cost-effective resolutions
• Ensure PDPs meet the design requirements from item specifications
