Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical solutions for advanced test systems, contributing from concept and CAD modeling through prototyping, testing and troubleshooting.

You will work on vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF and electro‑optic environments, validate systems against stringent requirements, and document drawings using CREO. A bachelor’s degree in STEM and CAD experience are required; relocation eligibility is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
• Experience with CAD software such as CREO or equivalent.
• Experience with mechanical hardware documentation or drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, and design mechanical test systems for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, and electro‑optic environments.
• Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements.
• Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
• Develop mechanical solutions that support the full product lifecycle from development to sustainment.
• Utilize CAD solid modeling tools to create detailed design drawing package.
