Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to support the Energy Solutions division across Baltimore, Fairfax, Richmond, Boston, and California offices. The role covers project development from conception to completion, client interactions, site visits, energy calculations, and commissioning to validate performance.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 0–3 years of experience, and a passion for HVAC design and energy projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present project opportunities to potential clients.
• Support client meetings, events, and proposal development.
• Perform site visits, audits, and energy calculations.
• Engineering design review of drawings and specifications.
• Support the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes.
• Help facilitate the contract administration process.
• Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period.
• Commission installed systems to validate performance.
• Support the client through the warranty phase as needed.
• Collaborate with M&V team to develop M&V reports.
