Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an entry-level mechanical engineer to help in our Energy Solutions division across multiple regions, including Indiana. The candidate will work with senior engineers on HVAC design, energy calculations, site visits, and commissioning activities to support performance contracts.

This role offers exposure to client interactions, project development, and a path to grow into energy engineering within a fast-growing practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
• 0-3 years of experience with an Energy Services company OR a consulting engineering/commissioning firm is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and present project opportunities to potential clients
• Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development
• Project development including site visits, audits, and energy calculations
• Engineering design review of drawings and specifications
• Support the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes
• Help facilitate the contract administration process
• Work with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period
• Commission installed systems to validate performance
• Support the client through the warranty phase as needed
• Work with our Measurement & Verification (M&V) professional to develop M&V reports
