Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, seeks an entry-level mechanical engineer to join our Energy Solutions division in multiple regions, including Ohio. The successful candidate will lead and assist HVAC design, energy calculations, and performance verification across projects.

Ideal candidates have a fresh degree in mechanical engineering and a drive to develop across the performance contracting lifecycle, from site visits to commissioning and warranty support. CMTA offers growth within a fast-growing team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 0-3 years of experience with an Energy Services company OR a consulting engineering/commissioning firm is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present project opportunities to potential clients.
• Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development.
• Project development including site visits, audits, and energy calculations.
• Engineering design review of drawings and specifications.
• Support the bidding process to ensure quality and competitive outcomes.
• Facilitate the contract administration process.
• Coordinate with the construction manager to ensure a smooth construction period.
• Commission installed systems to validate performance.
• Support the client through the warranty phase as needed.
• Collaborate with M&V professionals to develop M&V reports.
