Job summary

United Launch Alliance is seeking a Responsible Engineer for adapter hardware on the Payload Accommodations team in Denver. The role focuses on designing, testing, and validating payload interfaces for the Vulcan Centaur launch vehicle, coordinating with management, production sites, and payload customers to meet schedules.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering, 4+ years of related experience, and ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or another related field.
• Demonstrated project management and/or integration experience.
• Familiar with structural / mechanical system engineering design, development & qualification.
• Demonstrated teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Creating and revising engineering models of various structural/mechanical components and assemblies in support of launch vehicle and mission requirements.
• Perform trade studies to optimize designs for manufacturing, producibility, and performance.
• Support identification of causes of problems and make engineering corrective actions where needed.
• Develops design improvements that reduce cost and risk and/or improves performance and/or reliability.
