Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC. seeks a Responsible Engineer for adapter hardware in the Payload Accommodations team, supporting integration on the Vulcan Centaur launch vehicle. You will model structural components and work on designs to meet mission requirements with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated project management and/or integration experience.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and independent work capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise engineering models for structural/mechanical components and assemblies.
• Perform trade studies to optimize designs for manufacturability and reliability.
• Identify causes of problems and implement corrective actions.
• Develop design improvements to reduce cost and improve performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with mission management, production sites, launch sites, suppliers, test facilities, and payload customers.
