Job summary

United Launch Alliance (ULA) in Denver seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Payload Accommodations team. You will create and revise engineering models for structural components and support launch vehicle integration.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, at least 2 years of experience, and the ability to travel. You’ll collaborate across management, production sites, and suppliers, applying rigorous design and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Familiar with structural/mechanical design and qualification.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise engineering models for structural components and assemblies.
• Perform trade studies to optimize designs for manufacturability, producibility, and performance.
• Support identification of causes of problems and implement corrective actions.
• Develop design improvements to reduce cost, risk, or improve performance.
