Job summary

Greif is seeking a Project Engineer II to support production processes through design, modification, and development of equipment and processes. This role balances hands-on work with analytical engineering and requires leadership to deliver on regional projects.

Reporting to the Regional Engineering Manager, you will lead projects, implement improvements, and manage safety, reliability, and lean initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical and/or Electrical) or equivalent.
• 5-7+ years of Project Engineering in manufacturing with mechanical/electrical emphasis.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Hands-on setup, troubleshooting, changeover, automation, and die optimization.
• Experience with new product development, design, trials, and material selection.
• Electrical controls experience and familiarity with electrical diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple medium complexity projects (2+ MUSD) from scope to budget.
• Design basic mechanical layouts for product or process needs and suggest improvements.
• Draft project technical requirements specifications and develop all related documentation.
• Develop projects to optimize manufacturing processes and lean workflows.
• Support equipment safety upgrades and comply with safety standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage project execution.
