Job summary

Greif is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer II to support production process improvements and new product development within the assigned region. The role combines hands-on work with analytical engineering, guiding multiple concurrent projects from scope to delivery.

Responsibilities include designing mechanical layouts, specifying technical requirements, and coordinating equipment and services while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Typically possesses Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering Preferred)
• Advanced degree a plus
• 5-7+ years of Project Engineering in manufacturing environment with practical expertise in mechanical, electrical engineering

Responsibilities

• Manages the development and execution of several concurrent medium complexity (2+ MUSD) projects, including scope development, requirements specifications, schedule, estimating cost and tracking budget and resources.
• Designs and develops basic mechanical layouts while considering product/manufacturing process requirements.
• Defines and drafts project technical requirements specification to aid asset acquisition and service procurement.
• Develops projects that optimize manufacturing processes, including process control, setup, changeover, automation, and lean workflow improvements.
• Interfaces with internal EH&S resources to identify safety standards and procedures and support safety upgrades.
