Job summary

Greif is seeking a Project Engineer II - Mechanical to support production improvements across multiple facilities. You will lead medium-complexity projects, design mechanical layouts, and drive process enhancements with a balance of hands-on and analytical work.

The role requires 5–7+ years of project engineering in manufacturing, strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; mechanical and/or electrical preferred.
• 5–7+ years of project engineering in manufacturing with hands-on experience.
• Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with new product development, design, trials, and material selection.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and related engineering tools.
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety practices; ability to lead improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple medium-complexity projects (2+ MUSD) from scope to budget.
• Design mechanical layouts and suggest process improvements.
• Develop and hand over project documentation and asset specs.
• Optimize manufacturing processes for productivity and safety.
• Coordinate internal/external stakeholders and ensure compliance.
• Provide technical consultation to plant maintenance and operations.
