HED is seeking a Mechanical Designer to advance design documentation and coordinates across disciplines. The role emphasizes Revit modeling for HVAC, plumbing and fire protection, and collaboration with project engineers on system components.

Candidates should bring 2+ years in AEC, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and be ready for a hybrid Chicago or Detroit work schedule. You will draft sheets, participate in QA/QC, and support project execution while mentoring teammates and contributing to

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of experience in the AEC industry preferred.
• Hybrid work schedule: Chicago or Detroit office required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency with Revit and general computer tools is expected.

Mansioni

• Produce the mechanical sheet list and set up projects in Revit.
• Participate in BIM Project Execution Plan development.
• Support mechanical submittals reviews and respond to RFIs with supervision.
• Collaborate with project engineers on mechanical system components and discipline coordination.
• Model HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection in Revit per code and client needs.
• Create redline markups and delegate tasks to teammates.
• Mentor other engineers to share mechanical engineering knowledge.
• Edit Division 21, 22, 23 specs and assist with equipment sizing and energy code checks.
