Job summary

HED is seeking a Mechanical Designer in Boston to contribute to design documentation, perform calculations, and coordinate across disciplines with increasing autonomy. You will model in Revit for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, and help develop project deliverables under the guidance of project engineers.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and has 2+ years in the AEC industry, with strong communication, organization, and a detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years in the AEC industry preferred.
• Revit experience required.

Responsibilities

• Produce the mechanical sheet list and set up projects in Revit.
• Participate in BIM Project Execution Plan and cross-discipline coordination.
• Assist with mechanical submittals, RFI responses, and QAQC under supervision.
• Collaborate with project engineers on system components and interfaces.
• Develop design packages and perform calculations with guidance.
