Management Performance Associates is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in New Jersey to design water and wastewater equipment using SolidWorks and generate fabrication drawings for in-house production. This role emphasizes turning customer needs into buildable concepts, with substantial interaction with the fabrication shop.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of mechanical design experience, strong aptitude for hands-on problem solving, and a track record of precise, workable drawings.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline required.
• 3 or 4 years of mechanical design experience; standout with less will be considered.
• Proficient in SolidWorks; platform for all design and fabrication drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; able to figure out how to build, not just draw.
• Accurate, detail-oriented drawing work and ability to discuss designs with fabricators.

Responsabilidades

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings.
• Determine how to build customer needs, including equipment not previously made.
• Carry conveyor designs, the majority of workload, from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit the nearby fabrication shop to review plans, check progress, and resolve build questions.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with required level of detail.
• Support the project engineer with design work for each order.
• Ensure details are right before release so equipment is built correctly the first time.
