A New Jersey manufacturer of water and wastewater process equipment is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its team. The role centers on design purity and practical buildability, with hands-on collaboration with shop personnel to optimize fabrication.

The engineer will design in SolidWorks, create fabrication drawings, and help translate customer needs into buildable equipment, including conveyors and new equipment never built before. This is a fully onsite, growth-oriented posting.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3–4 years of mechanical design experience with SolidWorks.
• Strong aptitude for turning needs into buildable solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Design water and wastewater equipment in SolidWorks and produce fabrication drawings.
• Determine how to build customer requirements, including unfamiliar equipment.
• Carry conveyor designs from requirements through released drawings.
• Visit fabrication shop to review plans and resolve build questions with fabricators.
• Prepare drawings for outside fabricators with the required level of detail.
• Support the project engineer with design work for each order.
• Ensure details are correct before release so equipment fits the first time.
