Sensata Technologies in Attleboro, MA seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to collaborate with local and global teams on product design, verification, documentation and production launch. The role focuses on developing high-current circuit breakers, benchmarking to specs, and executing qualification testing while ensuring ITAR/EAR compliance.

You will drive design activities, validation, and release in internal systems, working with suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field or work experience.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
• Excellent planning and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design projects as a key member.
• Perform design verification using analytical and experimental methods.
• Contribute to development testing, engineering analysis and production launch.
• Coordinate with colleagues on failure analysis and engineering evaluations.
• Maintain product documentation (drawings and specs) and release in internal systems.
• Engage with customers to gather specifications, schedules and budget expectations.
• Understand basic electrical circuits, microelectronic assembly and product test processes.
