Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical Construction Technical Services Specialist Lead for a project in Corpus Christi, TX. You will provide leadership on mechanical engineering and construction management for complex data center facilities, interfacing with home office, clients, and subcontractors to ensure technical accuracy.

You will guide on-site teams through drawings, specifications, and change management, while coordinating permitting efforts and document control to keep projects on track.

Formación

• Minimum 10 years in Mechanical engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial facilities, with emphasis on mechanical engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership and guidance resolving in-progress issues related to drawings and specifications; clarifying/expediting home office responses.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting engineering documents, specifications and drawings; input to change management within your technical expertise.
• Engage in the permitting process with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
• Work with Design-Build contractors as their projects move to the field.
• Coordinate communication with subcontractors to manage drawings and documents in a revision-controlled manner.
• Lead construction document management process and oversee construction document control lead.
• Respond to contractor or other party requests for specification deviations within the approved process.
• Resolve Nonconformities with Field Quality, contractor, and Home Office Engineering.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to your team toward meeting objectives.
