Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical Construction Technical Services Specialist Lead for a Corpus Christi, TX project. The role focuses on technical leadership, interpretation of drawings, and coordination across home office, design-build teams, and field contractors within data center construction.

You will drive document control, facilitate change management, and work with AHJs to ensure compliance while mentoring a growing team of engineers and technicians.

Competenze

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial facilities, including datacenters.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, codes, and standards.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with certified technical training.
• Effective oral and written communication and ability to read mechanical drawings.

Mansioni

• Provide leadership to resolve in-progress issues, discrepancies, or disputes related to drawings and specs; coordinate with home office and engineers.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside firms, and client representatives.
• Offer on-site technical support interpreting documents, specs, and drawings, including input to change management.
• Engage in permitting processes with AHJs and field contractors.
• Lead construction document management and coordinate with subcontractors for revision-controlled drawings.
• Lead the construction document control process and oversee document control teams.
• Respond to contractor requests for specification deviations within approved processes.
• Collaborate with Field Quality, contractor, and Home Office Engineering to resolve NCRs and drive improvements.
