Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Mechanical Construction Technical Services Specialist to join our data center construction teams in Corpus Christi, TX. You will resolve in-progress issues, interpret drawings and specifications, and support change management on field projects.

You will liaise with home office engineers, design-build contractors, and client representatives, ensuring revision control and timely communication of design changes on heavy-industrial facilities and life sciences datacenters.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in mechanical engineering
• 8–10 years in construction management
• Experience with life sciences and datacenters

Responsibilities

• Resolve in-progress issues and discrepancies in drawings/specifications; expedite home office responses when needed.
• Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
• Provide on-site support interpreting documents and drawings; contribute to change management.
• Engage in the Permitting process and with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
• Work with Design-Build contractors once their efforts move to the field.
• Communicate with subcontractors to manage drawings and revision control.
• Manage and communicate changes in design and installation.
