Job summary

PCA, a Fortune 500 packaging leader, seeks a mechanical engineering co‑op/intern to support reliability and project engineering efforts across PCA’s mills. The role offers exposure to maintenance strategies, capital projects, and CMMS workflows while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities include supporting safety and efficiency improvements, using AutoCAD and CMMS tools, and coordinating with engineering, maintenance, and operations.

Qualifications

GPA 3.0/4.0 minimum is required.
Must be a permanent U.S. resident with a valid driver's license.
Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field and have completed freshman year (or will have) at time of co‑op/internship.

Responsibilities

Support mechanical reliability assignments to improve mill safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
Apply preventive maintenance techniques (lubrication, alignment, vibration analysis, root cause analysis) to improve reliability.
Collect and analyze mill data to support process optimization and operations decisions.
Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, operations and multidisciplinary teams.
