Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) invites applications for a Mechanical Reliability and Project Engineering Co-Op/Intern at our Valdosta, GA mill. The role supports two possible titles: mechanical reliability engineering co-op and mechanical project engineering co-op, with primary responsibilities described below.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0 required.
• Permanent U.S. resident with a valid driver's license.
• Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field; freshman year completed or will be completed by time of co-op/intern.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical reliability assignments to improve mill safety, efficiency, equipment performance and cost.
• Apply preventive maintenance techniques (lubrication, alignment, vibration analysis, root cause analysis).
• Collect and analyze mill data to support process optimization and decision-making.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, operations and external resources.
